Like so many kiwis, Zeden’s founder, Bevan, did his OE in his 20’s. One of the highlights of his trip was a visit to the English countryside of Herefordshire – the original home of cider. Here a love of quality cider was born.

Upon returning to the land of the long white cloud, he realised just how good we have it here. It also dawned on him how unique and fragile the New Zealand ecosystem is. He realised he wanted to do his bit to help out NZ’s unique creatures and the forests and ecosystems they live in.

New Zealand needed good cider, and New Zealand’s native species needed a bit of a helping hand. What if the two could be combined? And so Zeden Cider Co. was born.
